Consider Him…

“Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

Hebrews 12:3 NIV

When you are tired and run down or discouraged and defeated, consider Him…when you are frustrated or angry with others, consider Him…when you feel like there is no hope, consider Him…consider Him who endured death on a cross between two thieves, for us…consider Him who was spit on and had a crown of thorns pushed onto His head, for us…consider Him who had His beard plucked out and gave His back to the whip, for us…and consider Him who gave His blood and His life for us.  He did it because He loves you and He wants good things for you.  Turn your attention towards Him and give Him thanks, then you will find peace.  Amen.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:4-7 NIV
