Humility…Gratitude

Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

Father God, when we are overwhelmed by the brokenness and darkness we see, help us to remember You are near.  You are in control.  We can’t stop all the pain and injustice we witness, yet we can help overcome evil by doing good.  Please help us to do that.  Give us the courage and humility to love other people well.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Listen And Be Encouraged

Father God, thank You for counting us as part of Your family.  No matter what our circumstances and worries, we can always find hope in You.  You will never abandon us, or give up on us.  Renew us as we listen to Your Word.  Help us be more aware of Your presence at all times.  Encourage our hearts, so that we can encourage those around us.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Father God, please instruct us and teach us as we seek to live a life that honors You.  Guide us into our calling, and lovingly correct our mistakes.  We know You are good and You are working for good in our lives.  Thank You for listening to us and never giving up on us.  In Jesus name, Amen.

God’s Faithfulness

Good and Gracious God, thank You for Your never-ending faithfulness.  No matter what we face You continue to guide, protect and strengthen us.  Thank You for sending us Your Son and for our salvation.  When unexpected things occur help us turn towards You first and put our hope and trust in You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Trust In God

Father God, You are our source of strength and hope.  You are able to overcome our fears with Your love.  With You, all things are possible.  So we will place our hope and trust in You.  Even when everything around us seems to crumble, we will trust and not be afraid…for we know our future is secure with You.  Thank You for Your peace, Your mercy and Your love.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Father God, thank You for being the God who restores and brings peace.  I need Your peace.  Forgive me when I live in bitterness and refuse to give grace and mercy to others.  Empower me to help others experience the gift of healing and hope that I have received through You.  In Jesus name,  Amen.

Persevere

Father God, please give us strength to run the race of faith.  Often times darkness in this world will bring us many forms of struggle and we are easily distracted and drift away from You.  Fill us with courage to stay close to You and trust in Your promises…even when…especially when we can’t see clearly.  You are the source of our endurance to keep going, when we get knocked back or pushed down we know we can trust in You and keep running the race of faith.  Thank You for all You do for us.  In Jesus name, Amen.
