God’s Promises

When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.

Isaiah 43:2 NIV

Father God, Your Word is filled with promises for my life.  Often times my circumstances distract me from Your faithfulness.  As I read and re-read Your promises fill me with comfort and peace that surpasses understanding because I believe You are working for good at all times.  In Jesus name, Amen.

So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

The Name Of Jesus

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
    and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
    in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
    to the glory of God the Father.”

Philippians 2:9-11 NIV

Father God, You gave us Your Son, the Light of the world.  Give us courage and strength to call out His name.  Thank You Father God.

Jesus, regardless of what we face, we want to experience a personal relationship with You.  Thank You for everything You did and are continuing to do for us.  We need You, we believe in You, we trust You and we and we ask for Your guidance in all things and at all times.  Thank You for Your everlasting love.  In Your Holy name we pray, Amen.

For to us a child is born,
    to us a son is given,
    and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Humility

14 “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

Good and Gracious God, please show me the things I am withholding from You.  I want to walk humbly with You.  Teach me to prioritize Your ways over my ways.  No matter how difficult the circumstances, I want to deny my self-centered desires and seek You first.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Choose Joy

10 “If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

John 15:10-11 NIV

Father God, thank You for our constant access to Your presence.  Because You are near, we can experience joy in all things.  Help us remember our joy is not based on our circumstances.  Too often, instead of trusting You, we let our problems direct our behaviors.  Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, so that we can strive to live with undefeatable Joy.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Give To One Another

“Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.”

– John Wesley

Father God, You have shown us what matters most…and that is to love You and to love others.  Please help us align our ways with Your will.  Show us how to invest our time, resources, and money into things that have eternal value.  We want to give from the gifts and blessings You have graciously given to us.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
