Nothing Is Impossible

“Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”

20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Matthew 17:19-20 NIV

Father God, You make all things beautiful in their proper time.  Nothing is too hard for You to accomplish.  You are faithful to keep Your promises.  It’s easy for me to forget that You are not done working.  Through Your Holy Spirit, please change the way I think and behave.  When I grow weary or afraid, help me remember that You are with me, You are faithful and that nothing is impossible for You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Father God, thank You for sending Jesus to the world.  Give us courage and strength to follow Him.  Regardless of our trials or temptations, help us to seek Him.  Give us wisdom and endurance to pursue Him above all else.  In Jesus name, Amen.

God’s Promises

“Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”

2 Peter 1:2-4 NIV

Father God, I trust that You are faithful, and I believe that You will always fulfill Your promises.  I am holding tightly to my hope in You.  Thank you for promising to fulfill Your plans for my life.  Thank You for promising to be with us and to never abandon us.  Thank you for promising the return of Jesus.  You are faithful Lord – and I will trust in You.  Amen.

    I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.

Father God, I believe in You.  No matter what happens or what my circumstances, I believe that You have overcome the world.  You are my constant source of peace.  I know anything is possible for You, just by looking at Jesus, His birth, His teachings, His death and His resurrection.  I praise You because You are the One in whom I can trust.  Thank You for sending Jesus and for saving me.  I know You are in control and that with You anything is possible.  In Jesus name, Amen.

2 Timothy 1:7 NIV

God is greater than anything we face in life.  No challenge or difficulty, no pain and suffering is too much for God to handle.

He is the Creator of the universe…He knows you…He loves you and He is with you every day, all the time.  Put your faith in God and let your faith be greater than your fear.

Jesus

“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.“

Is He Worthy?

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

John 3:16-17 NIV

As we travel on the journey of faith, we will encounter questions and doubts along the way…that is natural and it is ok.  We need to remember that the one simple truth of faith is that Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself to save us and reconcile us to God because He loves us.

His love for us will conquer every battle in our lives.  He is worthy of our thanks and praise.  Thank you God, for your Son Jesus Christ…Amen.

Be Still And Know

“Come and see what the Lord has done,
    the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease
    to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
    he burns the shields[a] with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress.”

Reflect On What God Has Done

“Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:3-8 NIV

The truth about life is we will see troubles.  Jesus tells us directly in John 16:33, that trouble will come…not maybe or it might come…you will have troubles in this life.  Take time to reflect on what God has already done for you.  If we listen to the Lord and we know life can be hard, we should be more focused on how to get through our struggles and see what we can learn from them so we can share and help others.

God has provided the Way through difficult times…Jesus, His Son our Savior and God’s Word will guide us and see us through.  Think about troubles in your past…looking back where do you see God in it?  Remember all that God has already done for you through Jesus.  Trust in the Lord and persevere through trials.

Believe And Overcome

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

Romans 10:9-10 NIV

“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”

1 John 5:1-4 NIV

Believe…God is for you…God is with you.  He is the Creator of all and He knows you personally.  He knows what you are facing and He will be right by your side or, if necessary, He will carry you through to the otherside.  God loves you…trust Him to lead and guide you.
