Blessings And Spiritual Gifts

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”

1 Peter 4:10-11 NIV

As God’s creation, each of us has been blessed and have God-given gifts and abilities

It is up to us to learn about and use the spiritual gifts God has given to us

We are blessed to be a blessing to others

What gifts has God given you?

What can you offer or provide to others in your family, your neighborhood or your faith community?

If you are unsure about your gifts, turn towards God in prayer and ask Him to help you to see

A Generous Spirit

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 NIV

Remember that giving is about so much more than money

Too much time spent focused on self only leads to sorrow and trouble

What has God blessed you with that you can give?

Time…Talent…Wisdom…Ministry…Call to Serve?

Who does God want you to give to?

Think about these things and act in faith

May a spirit of generosity flow through each of us to others who are in need

Serve One Another

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. Everyone Is Carrying A Burden

 “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”

Romans 12:9-13 NIV

Every person you encounter everyday is fighting a battle you know nothing about

We all have burdens of some kind…yes even the person who shows their best life on social media

We are not here to judge whether one persons burden is greater than another

Rather we are to strive to help others carry their burdens as much as we need someone to help us carry our own

We should strive to ask the question…”how can I help?” more often than “why isn’t someone helping me?”

Jesus set the example for us and we would do well to follow Him

Helping Others

Humility…Perspective

Call To Serve

Father God, we are so grateful that we get to be a part of Your great story.  Thank You for having a plan and a purpose for our lives.  Help us not to step back in fear…give us the courage to be able to step out in faith and do what You have called us to do.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Gifts And Serving One Another

Father God, remind me what humility and serving others looks like.  Thank You for the gifts and blessings You have provided me.  Change the way I think and act, and teach me to put others first in a healthy way that honors You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Give To One Another

Father God, You have shown us what matters most…and that is to love You and to love others.  Please help us align our ways with Your will.  Show us how to invest our time, resources, and money into things that have eternal value.  We want to give from the gifts and blessings You have graciously given to us.  In Jesus name, Amen.
