Good, bad, unknown

Put your trust in the One who knows you, loves you and is walking with you through every moment

Commit it all to Him and He will guide you on your path

Be still and wait for Him

His Way

Father God, sometimes it is hard to surrender our lives to You.  We make the mistake of thinking our plans are better than Yours.  We know Your purpose for us is far greater than we can imagine, so help us let go and release all control to You.  We invite You into our decision-making.  Please inspire our thoughts and actions each day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Make A Commitment

Good and Gracious God, I want my life to be marked by loyalty and commitment to You.  I want to be known for how I loved, how I was generous, and how I shared with others about You.  Show me how to embrace a life of complete commitment to Your calling.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Trust In The Lord

Father God, thank You for taking care of us.  You are our strength and our support.  You promise to watch over us and fight for us.  Today, remind us that You are near and that You are working for good in our lives.  Teach us to trust in You at all times and in all circumstances.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Make A Commitment

How do we get better at staying the course?  The worldly way we set goals is almost always a path to failure.  Some of the most common mistakes is over-committing to too many things or setting unrealistic goals and achievements.  Not to mention our lack of patience for change in this fast paced, immediately gratification world.

The biggest mistake we make is not asking God to guide us or not listening and looking for His will for our lives.  We are easily distracted and believe we have to maintain everything on our own.  The most important change we can make in our lives is turning towards God first and a make a commitment to follow Him in every area of our lives.

Stand firm in faith.  Trust God and His plan for you.  We will not always see the way or understand His plan, yet we know that all good things come from God.  Amen.

Faith Commitment

Success in life is most often tied to commitment…when you learn the details of a success story there is always a moment or moments along the way that a person had to make a choice to stay committed to a vision or mission in order to see it through.  It is a willingness to commit that leads to success in relationships and our everyday life.  When we reflect on our lives, we all are committed to something right now…what is it for you?  Then ask the question how does that commitment tie into my faith and my relationship with God?

Plans…Purpose

If we try to do things our own way for our own purposes all the time we will find discouragement and frustration.  Our purpose comes from the Lord, our Creator.  His purpose is based on love and if we are willing to follow Him we will find His way is better for us, His plan is for our good, we can put our hope in the Lord and trust His plan and purpose for our life.  Amen.

Commitment

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
    I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”

Commitment is hard when things are difficult, when it feels like at every turn we try and failure is right there to greet us.  When we commit to something we naturally put some level of our own expectations of how things should go or what we believe should be the outcome.  Here is the issue with this approach…we are setting “our expectations” on the result with little regard for God’s will and God’s plan.  Following our faith and trust in the Lord means we can be free from the limited results our own minds can generate and be open to new possibilities.  For me this is hard to grasp and at times very difficult to embrace…even Jesus struggled in the last moments of His commitment to save us right before He was arrested and He prayed to His Father…“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”  – Luke 22:42  Bring your commitments to the Lord in prayer and seek His will.  Listen for Him and for the Holy Spirit to guide you…find your quiet place and quiet time and rest in Him.  May the peace and joy of the Lord be with you.  Amen.
