Resurrection Sunday – He Has Risen!

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”

Matthew 28:5-6 NIV

The truth about all of life…only God can bring us peace

And Jesus is the One who has proved it

Reflect today on how much God loves you

And rejoice in what the risen Savior Jesus has done, is doing and will do to show you this love

Happy Easter!

“But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away.  As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said.  “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified.  He has risen!  He is not here.  See the place where they laid him.”

He Has Risen!

This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men,[d] put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.”

Acts 2:23-24 NIV

They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’  Then they remembered his words.”

The Glorious Truth That Changed Everything…He Is Risen!

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.”

An Invitation To Worship

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28 NIV

Luke 24:6 NIV

Easter is a time to gather and praise the Name that is above every Name on earth…Jesus.  Throughout the Scriptures He invites us to come to Him and it is only with Him that we can find peace.  So, amid the busyness we bring on ourselves…make time to stop…sit in the quiet and worship our Savior and Lord.  He came so that we could be with God.  He suffered and died on the Cross to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves.  In the spirit of the season, I extend an invitation to all of you.  No matter where you are in the world you can come to worship service for Easter at Eagle Brook Church Online.  Below is a link to their website so you can find times for online worship services next week.  May we all know the peace that God provides by sending His one and only Son for us.  I invite you to come, now is the time to worship.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

Easter Sunday – He Has Risen!

“The Spirit of the God who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you. So the God who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your bodies. He will do this because of his Spirit who lives in you.”

Romans 8:11 NIRV

I am absolutely sure that not even death or life can separate us from God’s love. Not even angels or demons, the present or the future, or any powers can separate us. 39 Not even the highest places or the lowest, or anything else in all creation can separate us. Nothing at all can ever separate us from God’s love. That’s because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done.”

Romans 8:38-39 NIRV

Our Hope

Comes from God.  Easter is approaching and that event more than any other shows us that from the worst of tragedy God can bring about the greatest joy.  Nothing is more powerful and wonderful than God.  We do not know what tomorrow holds for us but we know full well who holds tomorrow.  May God’s peace and comfort surround you this day.  Amen.
