Father God, when we are anxious and afraid, we will put our trust in You

We will rely on You no matter what comes our way because You are our source of strength and safety

You guide us and You fight for us

When we draw near to You, we have nothing to fear, because we know that You are in control

We know You will never leave us or abandon us and so we put our trust in You

Be Courageous In The Faith

There are many elements of life working against those desiring to follow Jesus

The world, the flesh and Satan all are like a rushing river of water trying to keep us away from God and His Word

We must learn to stand firm in the faith…to be courageous

To speak the truth with respect, kindness and compassion

Remembering God is with you, no matter what

God’s Love Is Forever

Give thanks to God for all that is good

When we struggle or get frustrated, we can find hope in His love

We tend to think we know what God’s plan is and we are surprised when things don’t go the way we were heading

Spiritual growth comes from realizing God is in control and we do not know better than God

If we are willing to listen and seek the will of the Lord, He will lead us to things we never thought possible

He does this because He loves us

Find Time For Your Heavenly Father

God cares for and loves each and every one of us

As our good Father He is constantly giving us the opportunity to come to Him or come back to Him

Take time to be with your heavenly Father

God Speaks To Us

God’s Word is filled with His promises to us

If you have questions for God or about God, pick up a Bible and begin to read

I recommend starting with the Psalms or Proverbs and the Gospel of John

The Bible is the Word of God and no matter how many times you read something in it, you will find new learnings or a new understanding unlike anything else

It never changes yet you can be changed forever

Choose To Live A Holy Life

God created us and gives us free will to choose how to live

Our lives and how we live will either show that we love God and trust in Him or that we reject God and His will for us

Each of us gets to decide how we will live and how we will treat others

We cannot control what others will think, say or do…we can control how we choose to respond

Father God, guide us and help us make decisions that honor you and show love for each other.  Amen.

Commitment

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
    I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”

Commitment is hard when things are difficult, when it feels like at every turn we try and failure is right there to greet us

When we commit to something we naturally put some level of our own expectations of how things should go or what we believe should be the outcome

Here is the issue with this approach…we are setting “our expectations” on the result with little regard for God’s will and God’s plan

Following our faith and trust in the Lord means we can be free from the limited results our own minds can generate and be open to new possibilities

For me this is hard to grasp and at times very difficult to embrace

Even Jesus in the last moments before He was arrested prayed breifly for a different outcome…

“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”  – Luke 22:42

Bring your commitments to the Lord in prayer and seek His will

Listen for Him and the Holy Spirit to guide you

Find your quiet place and quiet time and rest in Him

May the peace and joy of the Lord be with you

He Restores You

We need time with God every day

When He is our source of life

We will know peace

We will be able to rest

He will renew us and restore us

If we try to go our own way…we will be consumed by sin

Trust in the Lord

He will restore your soul and give you all that you need

He Knows You

Have you had moments like this?

I have been there before…

You can be surrounded by people but feel like you are isolated

God knows who you are, He knows what you can do, He knows how you think and He cares for you

If you feel like you are off the rails in your life, it is time to get back to God

He is waiting to hear from you

He is the Creator, the one who formed you and has been right there with you every step of the way in life

Turn towards God

Trust in Him

He knows all about you and loves you unconditionally

May you see the blessings from God in your life each day
