Love Comes From God

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”

Deuteronomy 7:9 NIV

Father God, thank You for Your unconditional love.  It surpasses any form of earthly love.  We are not defined by our past or our mistakes and failures – we are not diefined by what we do or accomplish.  We are defined by who You are and what You have done and are doing…we are who You say we are…we are Your childern.  Nothing can separate us from Your love.  Praise and glory be to You and Your name.  Amen.

“This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

19 We love because he first loved us.”

Choose Peace

John 14:27 NIV

Father God, it is easy for us to worry about circumstances in our lives.  Every day, help us to remember that You are always in control.  We trust in Your guidance, protection and plans for us.  Because we know You care about every aspect of our lives we can have peace.  In Jesus name, Amen.
