Our Father

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,[a] we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.”

1 John 3:1-3 NIV

Being a parent requires a willingness to sacrifice to serve the needs of others.  What we give up is nothing compared to the loving and nurturing relationship we can have with our children throughout life.  Here to, God has set the example of a Father who has given up so much so that He can have a loving, engaging and nurturing relationship with you.  We would do well to not take Him for granted…He is our Father, who loves us and wants good things for us.  Take time to be with Our Father.  Amen.

Our Father

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

With God, All Things Are Possible

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Luke 1:37 NIV

“But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 19:26 NIV

Spend time in your relationship with God…remember the things He teaches us.  Keep doing good things and doing your best according to His Word.  Keep praying, keep believing…just keep going.  The next moment might be the best moment…a breakthrough is coming if you are willing to be persistent and patient.  All things are possible with God…God is working even when you can’t see it.  Amen.

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

Our Good Father

“I bow in prayer to the Father because of my work among you. 15 From the Father every family in heaven and on earth gets its name. 16 I pray that he will use his glorious riches to make you strong. May his Holy Spirit give you his power deep down inside you. 17 Then Christ will live in your hearts because you believe in him. And I pray that your love will have deep roots. I pray that it will have a strong foundation. 18 May you have power together with all the Lord’s holy people to understand Christ’s love. May you know how wide and long and high and deep it is. 19 And may you know his love, even though it can’t be known completely. Then you will be filled with everything God has for you.

20 God is able to do far more than we could ever ask for or imagine. He does everything by his power that is working in us. 21 Give him glory in the church and in Christ Jesus. Give him glory through all time and for ever and ever. Amen.”

Ephesians 3:14-21 NIRV

We would do well to follow Paul’s example of prayer shown above when we pray for others to our Father.  Who do you need to come to the Father about in your prayers?  He listens…He wants to hear from you because He loves you.  Spend time talking with our good Father in heaven.  Amen.

Lead Me

Who better to lead us than our Creator?  He knows everything about us…He knows about every aspect and every interaction of our lives.  He knows and He still loves us and wants what is best for us, even when we don’t know what that is.  Turn towards God and ask Him to lead you through this day and every day of your life.  Amen.

Live By Faith…Trusting In Our Father

Seek wisdom from God not the world.  Learn from mistakes.  Trust God’s way more than your own ideas of what “should be”…even when you don’t understand.  It takes courage, it takes patience and a willingness to not give up.  God is faithful and as so many stories in the bible tell us…we are to live by faith.  Read Hebrews 11 for a review of how people in the bible lived by faith.  Be thankful today for our Father in heaven who loves us more than anyone else ever could.  Amen.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

Father Of All

To all the Fathers out there:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight.”

Proverbs 3:5-6

God the Father, is the Father of all.  None of us will be as good of a Father as God is to us.  We will make mistakes, yet as long as we stay close to the Lord, He will encourage us, strengthen us and help us to do better.  Do your best…and leave the rest up to God.  Amen.
