God’s Word

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV

When we have questions, need guidance or when we seek comfort, the Word of God can provide for us in all these situations…

There is a sense of peace not found in the world that can come over you when you make time to read God’s Word

Let it soak into your heart and mind

There is wisdom and guidance in there that we will not find anywhere else

No matter where you are, what you have done or left undone

Spend time with God’s Word

May the peace of the Lord wash over you on your journey

Hebrews 2:18 NIV

according to your promise to your servant.”

Psalm 119:76 NIV

Good and gracious God, we need You – we always have

You are our source of strength, and You tell us to give You all our concerns

Replace any feelings of anxiety, fear, and uncertainity with Your peace and hope

Show anyone who is hurting that You are near, and You comfort those who call on You

Draw near to us as we draw near to You

In Jesus name, Amen

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

He Makes All Things New

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!”

2 Corinthians 5:16-17 NIV

Each day we have the opportunity to live a new way

Let us approach life focusing on God’s plan rather than making new worldly plans of our own

Let us be filled with the Fruit of the Spirit

Let us run the race He has put before us

He makes all things new in a way we could never imagine

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

Ephesians 4:22-24 NIV

Be Persistent

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

2 Corinthians 4:7-9 NIV

Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

Wisdom

17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.”

Come To The Lord

The name of the Lord is a fortified tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe.”

Proverbs 18:10 NIV

There is only one place to find the answers we seek and that is with the Lord

He is good, His love endures forever

He wants a relationship with us

Nothing is impossible for Him.

He is greater than any issue or circumstances in our lives…

Nothing Can Separate Us

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Romans 3:23-24 NIV

No matter what we do or where we go, we are loved by God

We tend to think, not me, God deosn’t really love me…look at the things I have done and left undone

Look at what I said, look at my life and the things that have happened because of me

To these things I say look at the examples of people in the Bible…

Peter, rejected being associated with Jesus three times after Jesus was arrested and before He was crucified

Rahab in the Book of Joshua, she was a prostitute who acted with faith and courage to help God’s people capture the Promised Land

Saul who became Paul…

He hunted down and killed many of the followers of Jesus and yet the Lord still loved him and made him one of the greatest teachers of the faith in the New Testament

There are many more situations like these

We are not perfect nor will we ever be, we will make mistakes and do the wrong things

Inspite of it all God still loves us and wants to help us grow and mature in our faith

Trust in the Lord…nothing can separate you from Him

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:31 NIV

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39 NIV

Persevere…Be Transformed

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

James 1:2-4 NIV

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

To Know Him And To Make Him Known

“This is what the Lord says:

“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
24 but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
    justice and righteousness on earth,
    for in these I delight,”
declares the Lord.”
