Attitude Of Gratitude

God is with you, He is for you.  He will never leave you.  No matter what happens, no matter what your circumstances…remember what God can do. Give thanks to God and strive to focus on choosing an attitude of gratitude.

Courage…Patience

The pace of world keeps getting faster with new technologies all being offered in the name of convenience.  Yet God is the same today as He was over two thousand years ago, He does not change according to popular opinion.

His timing is perfect, our timing and our plans are based on our worldly desires.  God is with you and God is for you.  He is working in your life, even if you can’t see it.  Have the courage to trust in the Lord and wait for Him to lead you.

Come Near…Trust God

Spend time reading God’s Word, take time to get to know Him.  Believe in God…put your trust in Him.  Turn away from self-centered living and begin to strive for God-centered living.  He loves you…He is with you…He is for you.  Come near to the Lord.

A spirit of gratitude is transforming for our perspective.  Instead of worrying about what we don’t have, we can be thankful for what we have received.  Rather than having anxiety about what might happen, we can be grateful that God is in control.

Instead of dwelling in guilt and shame about our sins we can give thanks for Jesus Christ and that He has taken our punishment so that we can be redeemed and reconciled with God.  Give thanks to the Lord…for he is good…His love endures forever!

Good To All

God is patient and persevering with everyone…yes even with that person that came to mind for you and me when we see those words.  The depth of His love is incomprehensible for our minds.  Jesus suffered and died and was resurrected so that everyone has the opportunity to choose to follow Him.

No matter what happens in our lives…look at the people written about in the Bible?  They showed their humanity and made sinful choices just like any of us do.  This does not stop God from pursuing us and calling to us to come near to Him.  God is relentless…He loves us and wants us to choose to believe in Him, love Him and trust Him with our lives.  This is why I have chosen to love Him so much!

Trust In The Lord…Praise Him

Only God can do the things we wish we could control…only He can transform the way people think and change their hearts.  Faith is about trusting His way and His timing…be still and wait patiently for Him.  Keep doing good things according to God’s Word.

Worry And Anxiety

The first time I highlighted some verses in my bible many years ago it was Matthew 6:25-34…they stood out to me.  They told me something nobody else has ever told me about worries, fears and anxiety…those verses told me why I don’t need to worry all the time about everything.

God is in control, He knows what we need and He knows what is best for us…now when we get off track and try to live our lives separate from God we end up getting ourselves in some pretty dicey situations…that is not God doing that to us, that it is us and our free will choosing to seperate from God.

So, if we want to see change in our lives and our situations it is up to us to put God first in our lives and to seek His will.  Life will still have trouble but we know with God all things are possible.  Amen.

Put On The New Self

We are all created by God in His image.  He sent His only Son down from heaven to save us from our sins.  As we learn and grow spiritually we are called to put off the self-centered way of living that the world preaches and put on the new self and live a God centered life that God designed for us.  Renew the attitude in your mind and choose God’s way for your life.
