Gratitude

A Psalm And A Song For Giving Thanks

A spirit of gratitude is transforming for our perspective

Instead of worrying about what we don’t have, we can be thankful for what we have received

Rather than having anxiety about what might happen, we can be grateful that God is in control

Instead of dwelling in guilt and shame about our sins we can give thanks for Jesus Christ and that He has taken our punishment so that we can be redeemed and reconciled with God

Give thanks to the Lord

What are you thankful for in your life today?

Giving thanks is not reserved for once a year in November

Being thankful and having gratitude is about changing your perspective to a positive point of view

It is easy to focus on what is wrong, what I don’t have and what I can’t do or even what other people are doing wrong

Be different

Take inventory of your life today…look around, what are you thankful for?

Pray about it and ask God to help you to continue to see the good

All that is good is from God and for that we give Him thanks

Father God, open our eyes to what we are truly devoting ourselves to

Contentment…Generosity

Give to others and be content when your needs are fulfilled

The world will tell you to want more and to get more

God has provided more than enough for everyone

Contentment and Generosity involve all aspects of life…our time, our talents, our emotions, our faith

  The more we are content the more we can share when we have received an abundance

Take time to assess where you stand…where do you have more than enough on your hands and how can you share to help those who are in need?

Comfort

Our God is the God of all comfort

There is nothing and no one in the world that can comfort us the way God can

Turn towards God and you will find comfort and peace

And you will be fully equipped to share that comfort with others

Gratitude For God’s Goodness

Father God, nothing is impossible for You

You love me even when I am unlovable

You are good to me even when I do not deserve it

You are kind and compassionate toward me even when I mess up

You provide the example of what faithful love looks like

Thank You for never leaving or abandoning me

Today, remind me of the ways You have provided for me in my life so that way I can intentionally praise You and Your goodness

Walking In The Light

Father God, I want to walk with You

Please fill my mind with thoughts that honor You and other people so that my words and actions bring life and are encouraging for everyone

Transform me into a new person who is walking in the Light of Christ with You
