Everyone Who Believes In Him

We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem.  They killed him by hanging him on a tree, but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen.  He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen – by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.  He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.  All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name’.”

From Faith Comes Hope

Listen For His Voice

An essential element of spiritual growth is spending some quiet time with the Lord…there are so many ways to get distracted and overwhelmed with this world.  When Jesus was here he often would seek time to be alone with God the Father.  Our faith is similar to the physical body it needs to be nourished to be healthy.  God made us and he loves us no matter what…No If’s, And’s or But’s about it!  He loves you and he longs for you to seek His voice.

Jesus said the following while speaking to the Jews…

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.  I give them eternal life,  and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.  My Father, who has given then to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.  I and the Father are one.”

John 10:27-29

Love Does No Harm

“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.  The commandments, ‘Do not commit adultery’, ‘Do not murder’, ‘Do not steal’, ‘Do not covet’, and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’.  Love does no harm to its neighbor.  Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”
