Living Sacrifices

Every one of us has a choice, every day…

Do we choose to follow the ways of the world and put ourselves first

Or will we seek God’s Kingdom first and live according to His Word?

Persevere

Father God, please give us strength to run the race of faith

Often times darkness in this world will bring us many forms of struggle and we are easily distracted and drift away from You

Fill us with courage to stay close to You and trust in Your promises…even when…especially when we can’t see clearly

You are the source of our endurance to keep going, when we get knocked back or pushed down we know we can trust in You and keep running the race of faith

Thank You for all You do for us

Keep The Word Of God In Your Heart And Mind

We are often easily distracted…taking our eyes off of Jesus and focusing on things we can’t control

Much like Peter who stepped out of the boat to walk on the water by faith (Matthew 14:22-33)…we learn that as soon as he took his focus off of Jesus, Peter began to sink

The first step of putting our faith in Jesus is extremely important that is how we get started on our faith journey…

Yet the next steps are just as important, keeping our eyes on Him, even when, especially when the winds of evil and darkness blow strongly against us

Keep God’s Word in your heart and in your mind

Growing In Faith

Father God, I want to submit to You

Please fill my mind with thoughts that honor You and other people

Guide me to speak in a way so that my words can bring life and encouragement to others

Transform me into a new person by helping me grow from the inside out

God Is Love

Forgiveness

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

Colossians 3:12-14 NIV

This is something we need to give as much as we need to receive it

Forgiveness is more than God’s grace given to us through Jesus Christ…we need to be able to give forgiveness to others and to ourselves as well

If we choose to hold on to the pain, the bitterness and the anger it will eat away at our very life and end up affecting our relationships with everyone

To forgive is not to say someone gets a free pass for hurting us…Instead, we are making the intentional choice to stop letting that hurt control our daily lives.

Christ will help us through this…

We can come to Cross and give thanks to Jesus for His forgiveness of our sins

And we can ask Him to help us find your way to give forgiveness to others

Don’t Stop Praying

Do not give up…

The Lord hears our prayers and His way is better than our ways

We must learn to be patient and persistent

No matter how long you have been praying about something and you haven’t seen a change…don’t quit…keep praying…believe

Many people fall away from God because He does not work on our time lines

Remember He is God and He knows what is best for us even if we can’t see it

Father God, we want every aspect of our lives to be honoring to You

Sometimes our thoughts get set on things that do not honor You

Help us each day to renew our minds – to replace negative thoughts with those that are good and pleasing to You

Help us remember Your truth in every moment
