Our Savior And Lord

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest,
    and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”[d]

And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

The Name Of The Lord

This time of year can be joyful and it can be painful…depending on your journey and the road you have traveled to get here.  The message of Christmas is the same today as it was thousands of years ago back in that manger.  Jesus Christ was born; the Savior has come to save us all from all of our sins.  He came to save all of us no matter who we are or where we came from, He came to save us no matter what we have done or what we have left undone…it is never too late to turn towards Jesus Christ, accept Him as your Savior and Lord and confess your sins.  He knows you; He loves you and He is waiting to hear from you.  May the peace of the Lord be with you.  Amen.

The name of the Lord is a fortified tower;
    the righteous run to it and are safe.”
