Strength Comes From God

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30 NIV

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms!  Whenever you feel run down, overwhelmed or weak and weary…turn towards the Lord in prayer and seek Him.  Rest in Him.  The best any Mom or any other person can do in this life put their trust in the Lord and build a life that is centered around a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Our strength comes from God.  Amen.

Do you not know?
    Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
    and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
    and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.”

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails…”

Relationships

Successful relationships are two way relationships.  Both people bring unique abilities and attributes to a relationship.  When it comes to parents and children a long term successful relationship is about honor and respect going both ways.  In the beginning of life the parents bring the most to the relationship, they should be sacrificing the most in the beginning to aid the growth and development of the child…over time this needs to shift to the child to be giving and sacrificing as the parents grow older and may need more assistance.  All along the way the best relationships are when all involved bring love, honor and respect to others.  No matter where this stands for you and your parents bring your relationship before the Lord, be thankful and seek His guidance.  Happy Mother’s Day to all you Mom’s out there, may the peace of God be with you.  Amen.

Mother’s Day – Cherish And Honor Your Mom

Today is a day to give thanks, to reflect and remember how your Mom impacted your childhood and how she still impacts who you are today.  We all know no human is perfect and not all Mom to child relationships are filled with fond memories but we must remember that people no matter who they are, are doing the best they can.  Whatever your situation take some time today to give thanks for the good your Mom is or was and say a prayer to God about your Mom…whatever prayer is most appropriate for you and your Mom.  Cherish and honor your Mom.  May God’s love, joy and peace be with all Mom’s and with you today.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity;  she can laugh at the days to come.  She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.  Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.  Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised”

A Mother’s Love

The unconditional love a mother has for her child and her thoughts, words and actions she will express for that child in order to see them grow up and become caring adults is proof alone for me that God exists and is actively working in our lives everyday.

Thank you to Mom’s of all kinds that are all over the earth for your continued love and support to children of the world.  May God’s peace be with you today and everyday.  Amen
