There is one way to peace

It will not be found in worldly values, events or possessions

Our guide for perfect peace is Jesus Christ

When things are spinning out of control or chaos seems to be ruling the day

Slip away to a quiet place and focus your thoughts on Jesus

Peace Of God

A peace that exceeds understanding is a the deep peace we can have when we put our trust, our faith and our hope in God

Pray…Find Peace

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:4-7 NIV

Prayer is available to us anytime, anywhere

It is not a wishing well, rather it is a foundational element in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ

It is about communication with God about all things, good and bad

It is listening, sharing your joys and your worries and most importantly, it is your path to peace

Advent Reflections – Peace

In this world peace is defined as the absence of conflict

The biblical definition of peace is more expansive and is speaking about having completeness or wholeness

It is referred to as the taking of something that is broken and making it complete once again

Jesus gives us peace by taking our broken relationship with God because of our sin and restores it to completeness by His sacrifice on the Cross

We can learn about this peace by spending time in God’s Word and doing daily devotions

Find whatever resource works best for you to spend time studying and learning about Jesus

May the peace of God be with you and flow through you each day

Peace From God’s Word

The Bible is God’s Word given to us to guide us, teach us and encourage us in our lives

  It has been translated in to many languages all over and it is continuing spread

We can do our part by learning what is says and putting it into action

Read God’s Word…do what it says…and you will enjoy God’s peace

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

Good and Gracious God, thank You for promising to bring us peace.  In every situation, help us continue to keep our minds on You and Your good promises.  Because we trust in You, we know we don’t have to be anxious about anything.  Continue to remind us of this truth throughout every day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Peace That Surpasses All Understanding

Father God, thank You for Your promise of peace.  Thank You for sending Your Son to deliver the gift of peace to us.  No matter what we face, even though it is uncertain and difficult, we know that You and Your peace are bigger than any problems in our lives.  Help us remember that You are good.  You came to us as a baby and You have promised to always be with us…and that alone gives us peace.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Grace…Hope…Peace

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

Romans 5:1-4 NIV

God’s love for us is unconditional.  This is God’s Grace…His love does not change based on our behaviors.  It is hard for us to understand because we are human and He is God.  The truth is He cannot love us any more and He cannot love us any less than He does right now.  He is the only one we can truly count on in this life.

He sent His Son as a sacrifice to allow us to be reconciled to Him.  If we are willing to believe in Jesus Christ and seek a personal relationship with Him we will be filled with Hope that only comes through Jesus.  It is this Hope that brings us Peace that surpasses all understanding.  May God’s peace be with you and flow through you.  Amen.
