The Road That Leads To Life

6 “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

We all have different lives and different choices to make in our lives.  Depending on where we live, what the weather is like, the environment of our home and where we spend our days.  This can be all different…what is common among all people?  The place in our hearts that is made to be filled by God.  He is the Creator and He made us with this special space that can only be filled properly by a personal relationship with Him.  Now that certainly hasn’t stopped the human race from trying to fill it with just about anything other than God.  If anything other than God is in that space you will not feel complete, content or know true peace.  Make time to be alone with God and invite Jesus into the place reserved for Him every day.  May you know God’s comfort and God’s faithfulness.

An Invitation To Worship

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Easter is a time to gather and praise the Name that is above every Name on earth…Jesus.  Throughout the Scriptures He invites us to come to Him and it is only with Him that we can find peace.  So, amid the busyness we bring on ourselves…make time to stop…sit in the quiet and worship our Savior and Lord.  He came so that we could be with God.  He suffered and died on the Cross to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves.  In the spirit of the season, I extend an invitation to all of you.  No matter where you are in the world you can come to worship service for Easter at Eagle Brook Church Online.  Below is a link to their website so you can find times for online worship services next week.  May we all know the peace that God provides by sending His one and only Son for us.  I invite you to come, now is the time to worship.

Allow Christ to Change Your Perspective

Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Jesus Christ is born…the promised Savior has come!  Now what?  What difference is He making in your life?  Are you aware of God’s presence in your daily life?  Believe…seek Him…pray…read God’s Word…pay attention to how God is at work in your life.  Choose to live different…allow Jesus Christ to impact every area of your life.

To Know Him And To Make Him Known

Peace From God’s Word

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

The Bible is God’s Word given to us to lead us, teach us and encourage us in our lives.  It is an instruction manual for life.  Teaching us about how God wants us to live and about having a personal relationship with His Son Jesus Christ.  It has been translated in to languages for people all over the world and it is continuing spread so that one day every person from any walk of life can connect to God through His Word.  We can do our part by learning about what is says and putting it into action.  Read God’s Word…Do what it says…and you will enjoy God’s peace.  Amen.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. He came down from heaven and was born as a baby.  He lived and taught…He was beaten, spit on and made to carry the Cross He would die on.  He comitted no sin and took the punishment for all of our sins.  He suffered, He was crucified, died and was buried and He did it all for you.  Then God raised Him from the dead and He is alive!  Thanks be to God for the sacrifice Jesus made for you and me so that we can be reconciled to God.  Amen.

Believe.  Believe in God and His Son.  Believe that Jesus came down from heaven, was crucified, died and was buried…believe that He has risen and that He did it all for you.  It will change your life forever.  Believe it!

One of the first steps towards a new attitude is starting with gratitude.  Give thanks for what you have received…instead of worrying about what you don’t have.  Appreciate what has been done for you…instead of worrying about what others don’t do.  Stop comparing…start praising!  The path to a new attitude begins with gratitude.

Live out your day today…what is the next right thing to do?  Live in the present day, right where you are.  God is with you there…if we are always looking towards the past or the future or to when this or that happens we may miss what God is presenting to us right in front of us, right now.  Do your best for God today, wherever you are.
