A Prayer Of Declaration

So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10 NIV

Lord Jesus, we believe You are alive

We believe You are ever-present and working in the world

We believe no matter what circumstances we face, You are good

We believe You weep, mourn, and rejoice with us

We believe You are our God and our Redeemer

We believe You are making all things new

We believe You are making each one of us a new creation

So come what may, Jesus, we place our faith, our hope and our trust in You

In your Name we pray, Amen

in all your ways submit to him,

Our Faith And Actions

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”

John 15:5-7 NIV

Faith and Actions are linked and interwoven together

A faith journey begins on the inside, molding and shaping our thoughts and our attitude

As we grow, we begin to show what we have learned in our actions and our behaviors towards others

We have the best example possible demonstrated for us in the life of Christ

He not only spoke the Words of faith and taught others, he went out and lived it

We all need to stop condemning, blaming and complaining…let us strive to bring healing to this broken world

I Will Praise You In The Storm

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

James 1:2-5 NIV

Even though I walk

I will fear no evil,

your rod and your staff,

But now, this is what the Lord says—
    he who created you, Jacob,
    he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
    I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the Lord your God,
    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;…”

Transformation

But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[a] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

Romans 10:8-10 NIV

Transformation is real

Confess your sins…Believe in your heart…and Pray

Some examples in the Bible of transformations…the woman at the well in John 4

God wants a relationship with you

Make time to be with Him

Troubles Can Be Overwhelming

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12 NIV

Our thoughts are often the driver of our hearts and our actions

The more we think about and focus on something, the more likely it will lead us to doing something

The problem is the amount of inputs and sensory overload we are getting from darkness and evil tend to keep us dwelling on our sins and the sinful nature within us

It truly is a struggle and can be all consuming

The only source of Light is Jesus Christ

The only way to get help in removing our blinders to goodness and good things is God’s Word

Faith will not make the evil and darkness disappear, rather it provides the tools and the resources we need to get through difficult times and promote the Fruit of the Spirit

Faith helps us shine the Light of Christ for us and others to see in this dark world

Thanks be to God for Jesus Christ our Light of the World

Sin Divides Us And Christ Unites Us

“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.”

1 John 1:8-10 NIV

“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[c] you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.”

Grace…Hope…Peace

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

Romans 5:1-4 NIV

God’s love for us is unconditional

This is God’s Grace…His love does not change based on our behaviors

It is hard for us to understand because we are human and He is God

The truth is He cannot love us any more and He cannot love us any less than He does right now

He is the only one we can truly count on in this life

He sent His Son as a sacrifice to allow us to be reconciled to Him

If we are willing to believe in Jesus Christ and seek a personal relationship with Him we will be filled with Hope that only comes through Jesus

By the Grace of God…we can have Hope that brings us Peace that surpasses all understanding

May God’s peace be with you and flow through you into this world
