God Is Love

As we live and learn and grow on our spiritual journey, we slowly gain a greater understanding of God’s love.  It is one thing to hear about it, read about it and know it in your head and it is something much greater to experience it and know it in your heart.  God is love, He loves you and His love will never let you down.  Amen.

“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

Be Thankful

What are you thankful for today?  How often are we able to look for something to be thankful for during difficult times?  It is not easy…yet it is a choice.  An attitude of gratitude may not come naturally to us but we should strive for it as it can make such a big difference in our lives.  We don’t have to do it alone…start by thanking God for Jesus Christ and what He did for you at the Cross and see where you can go from there.  Amen.

Wisdom And Understanding

When we seek wisdom, we are striving to learn and grow in our knowledge and experience.  The more we learn the greater the impact on our perspective and our attitude.  This increase in knowledge and shaping of our perspective also will help us gain understanding for many circumstances and situations in our daily life.  To put it another way…don’t assume something or judge others based on a social media post or a headline or as they used to say when I was younger…don’t judge a book by its cover.  Seek wisdom, seek to gain understanding.  Amen.

All People

Are created by God.  He has a plan and He values all people.  If we choose to judge others by the standards of the world, we are forgetting about what God teaches us.  Often times we know very little about others we encounter in our daily life…yet we are quick to assume things about them.  Pick up God’s word and strive to see people through the eyes of Jesus.  Like many aspects of our faith journey it is simple, but it’s not easy.  Peace be with you.  Amen.

The Experience Of Following

Jesus was very clear about what it takes to follow Him. It does not mean life will be easy and you will not have to face any trouble or suffering…it means we will have trouble because we live in a world that pursues the exact opposite of what Jesus teaches us. It also does not mean your life will be miserable…again it is the opposite, you can have joy and peace and contentment. It all comes down to what do you believe? Your beliefs will drive your values, your perspective and even your attitude. And so, Jesus said…“Follow me”Matthew 9:9

The New Covenant

This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
    after that time,” declares the Lord.

The Power Of Faith

Never under estimate the power of your faith.  Your faith is about belief and trust.  It is not how much you have rather it is about do you have any?  If you believe in Jesus Christ and trust that God has good things in store for you then you will see the power of faith.  Amen.

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” [21] [a]

Peace

True peace is from God.  It is a perspective and an attitude that is not rooted in worldly desires amd motives.  The path to peace begins when we turn in faith towards Jesus Christ and trust in His way.  Amen.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:4-7

He Will Renew Their Strength

When you become tired and weary…frustrated and exasperated…looking for answers and your mind is swirling with questions…turn towards the Lord.  Focus on Him, bring Him your worries and your burdens…He will help to quiet your mind and bring peace to your spirit.  The Lord is a refuge for those who seek Him and nothing in this world can take His place.  Amen.
