Ask, Seek, Knock…

Prayer and communication with God on a daily basis are key elements on our faith journey.  Prayer includes confessing our sins, expressing gratitude, asking and listening.  Keeping in mind that God is not a wishing well…rather He is your friend, your guide, your confidant.  He knows about every aspect of your life and He still loves you…so much that He sacrificed His one and only Son in order to reconcile you with Him.  God loves you…He is with you…He is wating to hear from you.

God’s Word

Put your hope in God and in His Word.  We all are broken and will have troubles in this world.  But God gives us The Way to salvation.  May we all find rest for our souls in God’s Word.

Pray

One of the most powerful things we can do is pray…find a quiet place and communicate with God about everything, anything, every day.  These words are based purely on what God has instructed us to do.

What Will You Choose?

God provides us with everything we need…it is up to us to choose how we will live out our time in this world.  Will we seek a personal relationship with Him?  How will we treat others?  What will be the center of our lives?  Self or Christ?  God has given us free will…how will you choose to live?

Trust In The Lord

Instead of trying to control things beyond your reach…put your trust in the Lord.  Trust His way…trust His timing and trust the outcome to Him who has done more for you than any person in your life.  He is with you, He is for you.  Trust in the Lord.

God Is Walking With You

The peace and comfort we seek from worldly values and other people can only be found in our relationship with God and remembering that God has said that in this world we will have trouble but we need to remember He is walking with us through every moment of every day.  He doesn’t take away the suffering He gives us the strength and courage we need to go through it.  Put your trust in Him and give Him the worries and burdens of each day.

It Is Sin That Divides Us And Christ Who Unites Us

Friendship

The best friendships are the relationships in which both individuals are equally nourished by their time together.  We all have different types of friendships…some that nurish us, some where we nurish others and a true friendship, one in which both people care for and provide for each other equally.  Who are your true friends?  In our relationship with Jesus, He calls us His friends and He provides for us…and asks us to trust in Him.  May the peace of the Lord wash over your friendships.  Amen.

Seek Wisdom…Listen

“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”

James 1:19-20 NIV

Seeking help…it is hard to do for many of us.  First step, admit we need help.  Second step, seek assistance…first from God and then from others that God puts in our lives.  Last step, listen…the first two are hard enough for many of us, if we get to the last step we often lose focus…we need to listen.  We often spend our listening time preparing our response instead of truly listening.  We can miss God’s will for us if we fail to listen.  May we all be better listeners in our daily walk.  Amen.
