“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.”
Psalm 100:1-3 NIV
A spirit of gratitude is transforming for our perspective. Instead of worrying about what we don’t have, we can be thankful for what we have received. Rather than having anxiety about what might happen, we can be grateful that God is in control. Instead of dwelling in guilt and shame about our sins we can give thanks for Jesus Christ and that He has taken our punishment so that we can be redeemed and reconciled with God. Give thanks to the Lord…for he is good…His love endures forever!
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
Psalm 100:4-5 NIV
